Safety Commission continues to work through the issues in the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act
(CPSIA) law to
make products safer for our children, Cozy Cocoon has
continued to make sure that
all our product designs, fabrics, labels, hangtags and packaging
remain the safest and highest quality childrens
products possible.
since all
our clothing offerings, starting with our original Cocoon
products, begin as natural, all-fabric products,
without any
velcro, snaps, buttons or ties, we are already way ahead of
all
existing or new US or international regulations. while there
are many parts in this complex new law, the most important part is
keeping harmful lead and phthalates (substances added to
plastics to increase their flexibility) away from our children:
we certify that there is none sewn onto or incorporated into
any our fabrics.
although
they are not required until February of 2010, Cozy Cocoon has
chosen to create CPSIA
General Conformity Certificates, for every item we sell here or through
Amazon or any of our many
on-line or in-store partners, which are available on request
until a final format is announced when they will also be
available online. additionally, we will have permanent
sewn-in labels for all our cloth products in advance of this fall's
deadline which will identify when and where each product was
made. we will continue to monitor the
evolving CPSIA implementation and will update our documents, testing
and labeling as required.
